Thistle Hotel_

Doncaster Trades & Conference Centre_

Fit out of four floors contained within the Frenchgate Shopping Centre to provide reception facilities, games room and bar, concert room and bar, lounge bar, and conference and office facilities. Installation of catering kitchen, two passenger lifts, and all fittings and furnishings. All bespoke joinery was completed in our own joiners shop. Access and unloading was severely restricted due to the location of the project in the middle of a busy operational shopping centre and the works being spread over four floors. The project was successfully completed within the 20 week period and to budget. Full conversion and extension of a Grade II former Methodist Church (circa 1840) to form a new Public House with fully serviced ground and first floor trading areas. Located off the narrow High Street of the town centre, servicing the site proved challenging with only one access point being a steep incline from the one way street to the front boundary. Bespoke quality joinery fitted throughout including a new feature staircase, all manufactured in-house. A first floor extension was constructed to the rear of the property to form a commercial kitchen and staff facilities. External works included the formation of a forty metre long service ramp cut into the incline of the land, with retaining walls constructed in stonework and granite copings all of which were sourced locally to match the original building.
